Physical Therapy Modalities - Ultrasound Therapy
Ultrasound therapy has been a very effective therapy for many years. The ultrasound therapy is delivered by a hand held device applied directly to the are of injury. Ultrasound is often used to provide deep heating to soft tissue structures in the body. Deep heating tendons, muscles or ligaments increases circulation to those tissues, which helps the healing process. Increasing tissue temperature with ultrasound is also used to help decrease pain.
Deep heating can be used to increase the "stretchiness" of muscles and tendons that may be tight. If you have shoulder pain and have been diagnosed with a frozen shoulder, your therapist may use ultrasound to help improve the extensibility of the tissues around your shoulder prior to performing range of motion exercises. Ultrasound has the ability to heal tissues, decrease pain and improve muscle flexibility.
Many painful symptoms can be relieved with the application of Ultrasound Therapy.
At Body Wellness & Rehabilitation in Sayreville, we can help you get pain relief.
We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on our judgment and years of experience.
The primary adjusting techniques we use include:
After identifying which spinal bones have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is administered to free up "stuck" joints.
This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.
Thompson Terminal Point technique is a system of analysis and a special table that reduces the amount of energy needed to adjust your spine.
Clinical Biomechanics of Posture is effective in producing improved posture, spinal alignment and restoration of essential spinal curves.
Physical therapy is designed to strengthen muscles, improve balance and increase mobility.
As an ideal adjunct to chiropractic care, we use acupuncture when we see health problems that seem caused by disruption.
If you've been to a chiropractor before and prefer to be adjusted in a particular way, let us know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your chiropractic care.
